HANS HESS is born in 1951 in Annaberg in East Germany, studied arts in Halle and lives in Schwarzenberg. Beside his art activities he is working since a few years in a Ergotherapy center.
His art is very versatile and includes collage, printing, Books, objects, painting, metalwork, visual poetry and of course mail art.He organised many mail art exhibitions (since 1995: Windows, Full moon in Germany, Alphabet, Herbarium, Matchboxes .)

"FOUND OBJECTS" is a year long mail art project Hans proposed to me: Since Octobre 95 Hans and myself are documenting our daily lives by collecting every day a found object, stick it on a paper and adding information such as place, time and eventually comments. At the end of each months, the collection of found objects are sent one to the other.
